Hi Pete,

Thanks taking the time to help out. I checked and my Linksys BEFSX41 firewall/router is running the latest 4/30/2004 ver.1.50.18 firmware.

Oddly enough, even if I feed the computer running Ping Plotter through the firewall's DMZ port (no filtering), it still causes the box to reboot.

The Vonage VOIP Tech support advised me to make these config changes to Ping Plotter's default settings:

Quote:
1- On the lower left hand side of the screen, enter the following
settings: "# of times to trace" = Unlimited (This is the default
setting), "Trace Interval" = 2.5 seconds (Click the down arrow)
and "Samples to Include" = 10 (Click the down arrow).
2- From the "Edit" menu, select "Advanced Options". On the window that
opens select "Packet Options". Change the "Packet Size" to 1200, then
hit OK.
3- Now that the application is set up to begin the test, enter:
www.yahoo.com as the "Address to trace" and click on the "Trace" button
on the lower left hand side of the screen.

Any more suggestions?

Vonage says that they need at 5 hours worth of Ping Plotter monitoring to debug my lost packet problems.
