Same thing - Same new linksys router. I won't chase firmware's until we see some evidence of working. I did try the 3rd hope workaround. I do get some output now. However, I don't get any totals and my last hop is experiencing 100% packet loss.

I am running version 2.60 registered.

There's been a number of reports that starting at hop 3 works relatively well. We don't have a V5 router here, though, so we've not explicitly tested it.

If your final destination is getting 100% packet loss, you might have a look at some of our knowledgebase articles on this topic to try and troubleshoot:

Make sure you're trying to trace to a destination that response to ICMP echo requests - www.nessoft.com is one site that does.
