Hi Pete - I've changed my mind, yes, I would like this exposed in the OLE objects of the upcoming issue. My wish list is to be able to:

1: to set the server, say "whois.nic.ad.jp";
2: to set something possibly other than just the IP address, say "210.162.14.25 /e" or the ARIN NetHandle "NET-63-117-216-128-1";
3: make an rwhois / port 4321 request (looks like this is how you do it, but would settle for http / port 80);
4: to recover the response to a text string variable.

Go on: tell me its already there, but I'm too dumb to spot the methods and properties ;¬}

Regards, Robert.

Not there yet, Robert. This capability is relatively easy to surface (and PingPlotter's whois lookup uses the whois port, not the http port), so I'll see if we can get that done before the next prerelease.
