I am trying to figure out if there is a way to send an email alert if a ping to an IP address hits 100% packet loss, or looses ping to the host completely. When the Ping reaches over 100ms it sends an alert, but if ping fails to the host becuase the host goes offline, it doesnt send an alert. Is there a way to set this up?

Thanks,
Brent

The alert system in PingPlotter sees a lost packet as "over any number", so setting an alert to signal when 10 of 10 packets are > 100ms should fire when there is dropped connection too. You can also set it for 10 of 10 packets that are > 9999ms, and it will signal just when packets are lost.

If that's not working for you, please email your PingPlotter.ini, your Alerts.ini and a description of which host you're alerting on to support@pingplotter.com.
