A1ex Registered: 03/10/12 Posts: 2	Hello. Is there a way to monitor smtp server? My smtp server's provider has blocked ICMP protocol so I could not use ping for monitoring. Thanks!

Pete Ness Registered: 08/30/99 Posts: 1106 Loc: Boise, Idaho	SMTP uses standard TCP traffic, on port 25. You can use PingPlotter's TCP capabilities to most SMTP servers to get good statistics. We have general information about TCP here: http://www.nessoft.com/kb/51 (use port 25 instead of 80, of course). Best wishes, Pete
