Pingman Tools Celebrates Growth with Ribbon Cutting Ceremony

Pingman Tools is a rapidly expanding software company located in downtown Boise. The organization was founded in 1999 and manages operations for two privately held companies. The first is PingPlotter, a company that provides network troubleshooting tools to a global user base of businesses and home users. The second is NoPileups, a car wash safety and analytics service that uses computer vision and machine learning to prevent accidents and improve operational capacity. Pingman recently expanded their office to make room for a growing team of passionate and creative individuals. They plan on commemorating the event with a Boise Chamber of Commerce Ribbon Cutting ceremony on August 2nd.

BOISE, IDAHO JULY 21, 2017 After a long, quiet, history Pingman Tools is becoming one of the largest tech companies in Downtown Boise's 8th Street corridor. The company was founded in 1999 by Pete Ness around a network diagnostic tool called PingPlotter. Through the years, Pete managed PingPlotter while he worked on other projects like Metro Express car washes. In that time, PingPlotter accumulated millions of free users and generated revenue from thousands of paying customers.

In 2013, Pete had just sold his stake in Metro Express. Working with the Metro crew taught him the value of a great team, and building one around PingPlotter was the next venture on his mind. For Pete, growing his business wasn't enough. He wanted himself, and everyone involved, to enjoy the ride. Pete hired Pingman's first employees to develop PingPlotter and the business around it. As the team grew, they began codifying a set of values based on user experience, team accountability, and personal enjoyment. The values guided business decisions and helped the team find other like-minded individuals as the business grew.

By 2016, Pingman Tools added its tenth employee. PingPlotter had more than doubled in size, and the growth made new ventures a possibility. The team was aware of an opportunity in the car wash industry, and it was time to capitalize. They expanded the team, tapped into Pete's car wash connections, and started development on NoPileups, a car wash service that uses computer vision and machine learning to prevent accidents and improve operational capacity. NoPileups is running in more than thirty car washes since its debut at The Car Wash Show 2017 in Las Vegas. Demand for the system is high, and the Pingman team continues growing around the new business.

Enjoying the ride would be difficult if everyone was crammed into a small space, so as NoPileups gained traction, plans for expansion went into effect. Much to the team's delight, it was possible to expand the current office and keep the everyone together. Construction finished in July 2017 and Pingman Tools is marking the milestone with a Boise Chamber of Commerce Ribbon Cutting ceremony on August 2nd. The event is in the office at 405 S 8th street #301 and starts at 11:30 am. After the ribbon cutting, the team is hosting an open house until 2:00 pm. Anyone interested in seeing Pingman's operation is invited, but the team wants to extend a special invitation to techies interested in joining the team. Pingman Tools is always looking for talented developers, support engineers, and installers.
