Alert Event Log Trigger Column

Question

I see some strings in the Trigger column of the Alert Events Log. What do they mean?

Solution

Each string in the Alert Events Log Trigger column means that an alert condition was triggered.

Pass: "When Alert Conditions End" has been met.

Fail: "When Alert Conditions Are Met" has been met.

Changed: This is the first time the alert has fired since it's been applied

Unchanged: This is a repeated alert.

Example: PassUnchanged would mean that the alert conditions have ended, and the alert has been set to continuously fire.
